Jetstar Asia Airways
: Jetstar Asia Airways Private Limited (Chinese: 捷星亚洲航空公司; Thai: เจ็ทสตาร์เอเชีย) is a low cost airline based in Singapore. It is the Asian offshoot of Qantas' Jetstar Airways. It operates services to regional destinations. Its main base is Singapore Changi Airport.
The airline anticipates profitability in 2009, although there were indications that this may happen earlier due to better performance in 2007.
Jett8 Airlines Cargo : Jett8 Airlines Cargo is a cargo airline based in Singapore which was established in March 2006. It is a privately owned airline with strategic alliance partnership with Nippon Cargo Airlines and NYK Line. It flew its first commercial flight on 23 June 2007 from Singapore to Hong Kong,[1], and currently flies on three routes to the People's Republic of China, Indonesia, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom using Boeing 747-200F aircraft. Services to India, the United States and more destinations in Europe are also planned for the future.
MY Air Cargo : MY Air Cargo is a start-up cargo airline based at Seletar Airport, Singapore. It plans to launch scheduled cargo services from Singapore to China, India, Thailand and Vietnam using Boeing 757 freighters.
Silkair : SilkAir (Singapore) Private Limited is an airline based in Singapore. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines and operates scheduled passenger services from Singapore to 25 cities in Southeast Asia, South Asia and China. As the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, it serves 25 out of 49 short haul destinations in the Singapore Airlines group network, and flew 1.56 million passengers in 2006. It made a profit of S$30 million, as turnover rose 20.4% to $415 million.
Singapore Airlines : Singapore Airlines Limited (Abbreviation: SIA; Chinese: 新加坡航空公司; Pinyin: Xīnjiāpō Hángkōng Gōngsī, abbreviated 新航; Malay: Syarikat Penerbangan Singapura; Tamil: சிங்கப்பூர் ஏர்லைன்ஸ்) (SGX: S55) is the national airline of Singapore. Singapore Airlines operates a hub at Singapore Changi Airport and has a presence in the airline markets of Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the competitive "kangaroo route" between Europe and Oceania. The company also operates trans-Pacific flights, including two of the world's longest non-stop commercial flights from Singapore to Newark, New Jersey and Los Angeles, California.
The airline has diversified into various markets including ground handling, aviation engineering, air catering, and travel tour marketing. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Silkair, manages regional flights to secondary cities with smaller capacity requirements, particularly those in Southeast Asia, China and India. Strong growth potential in air freight operations prompted the setting up of a separate subsidiary, Singapore Airlines Cargo, which leased the entire freighter fleet from SIA and manages the cargo holds in all existing SIA aircraft. The airline also responded to the threats posed by the low-cost sector by taking a 49% stake in Tiger Airways. Collectively, the Singapore Airlines Group (including SilkAir and Singapore Airlines Cargo) is the world's largest carrier by market capitalization, having overtaken Southwest Airlines in 2006/7,and ranks amongst the top 15 carriers worldwide in terms of revenue passenger kilometres. In addition, it is the 8th largest airline in Asia and ranked 6th in the world in terms of international passengers carried.

Singapore Airlines Cargo : Singapore Airlines Cargo (SIA Cargo) is the fully owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines and was formed in 2001. SIA Cargo is the world's third biggest cargo airline in terms of international freight tonne kilometres (FTK).[citation needed] It has a dedicated flight network spanning 36 cities in 18 countries,[1][2][3][4][5][6] managing an 8 billion tonne kilometre capacity through a fleet of 14 all-cargo aircraft and the cargo holds of 96 passenger aircraft operated by Singapore Airlines.
Tiger Airways : Tiger Airways Private Limited is a low-cost airline based in Singapore, with its primary hub at Singapore Changi Airport. Incorporated in September 2003, it is currently the largest low-cost airline operating out of Singapore in terms of passengers carried. In 2006, the airline flew 1.2 million passengers, a growth of 75% from the previous year.
Valuair : Valuair Limited (Chinese: 惠旅航空) is a Singapore-based budget airline. It was launched in 2004, offering initial services to Bangkok and Hong Kong. It differentiates itself from other budget airlines in that it offers frills such as a baggage allowance of over 20 kg, in-flight food, allocated seats, and 32 inch seat pitch. It now mainly operates scheduled services to major cities in Indonesia. |
